Data Sources

Data Sources are the information repositories TwoFiftyTwo draws on when you research a question. The more relevant sources you connect, the more comprehensive and accurate your research output becomes.

Navigate to Data Sources in the sidebar to view and manage your connections.

Available sources

1. S&P Global

Market data covering equities, fixed income, credit, and economic indicators from S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Status: Connected / Disconnected
Contact your administrator to enable S&P Global for your workspace.

2. Wind

Market data and financial information, primarily covering Chinese and Asian markets.

Status: Connected / Checking / Disconnected
If status shows Checking, TwoFiftyTwo is verifying the connection. This typically resolves within a few minutes.

3. Massive

Additional market data source providing broad coverage across asset classes.

Status: Connected / Disconnected

4. FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data)

Economic time series data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Covers GDP, employment, inflation, interest rates, and hundreds of other macroeconomic indicators.

Status: Connected by default for all workspaces.

5. Outlook (Email)

Connect a Microsoft Outlook mailbox to include email content in research. TwoFiftyTwo indexes your inbox and makes it searchable alongside other sources.

Setup:

  1. Click the Options button on the Outlook tile.
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account.
  3. TwoFiftyTwo begins indexing your mailbox. A progress indicator shows the sync percentage.

Once connected, you can ask research questions that draw on your email — for example, “Summarise the key points from broker research emails we received this week on European credit.”

6. SharePoint

Connect a Microsoft SharePoint site to include internal documents, reports, and knowledge bases in research.

Setup:

  1. Click Add SharePoint on the Data Sources page.
  2. Authorise access to your SharePoint tenant.
  3. Select the sites and document libraries to include.

SharePoint requires your IT team to approve the TwoFiftyTwo application in your Microsoft 365 tenant before connection is possible.

7. Website Sources

Add specific websites or domains that TwoFiftyTwo is allowed to search when researching questions. These supplement real-time web access with curated, trusted domains.

Managing allowlisted domains:

  1. Click Manage allowlisted domains on the Website Sources tile.
  2. Add or remove domains. TwoFiftyTwo will only access the web domains you have explicitly approved.

Allowlisting ensures TwoFiftyTwo does not retrieve content from unexpected or untrusted sources.

Connection status

Each source tile shows a status indicator:

StatusMeaning
ConnectedSource is active and available for research
CheckingTwoFiftyTwo is verifying the connection
DisconnectedSource is not connected; research will not draw on this data

Trade verification

Some sources support automatic trade verification, which powers the Hit Rate feature. If verification is disabled on a source, new trade ideas ingested from that source will not be evaluated.

Check the Verification settings in the Hit Rate page to review which sources have verification enabled.
